There's something deeply satisfying about standing in a finished space and remembering what it looked like when it was nothing but concrete floors, exposed beams, and potential.
That's exactly where we started at O'Connell Street.
What was once an empty, unfinished section of a warehouse in Watertown has been transformed into two distinct, fully realized spaces and we couldn't be more excited! We're thrilled to announce that the latest phase of our O'Connell Street renovation is complete, and both 213 and 215 O'Connell are officially occupied.
Two Floors. Two Visions. One Building Reborn.
This project was unlike anything we've tackled before. Starting with a raw industrial shell, we built out an entirely new second floor, bringing the building to life in a way that honors its warehouse character while delivering the comfort and functionality today's tenants expect.
215 O'Connell — The Apartment
Upstairs, we created a stunning two-bedroom apartment with an open-concept kitchen and living room that floods with natural light. In-unit laundry, thoughtful finishes, and a layout designed for real everyday living make this one of the most unique residential spaces in downtown Watertown. It's the kind of place where the exposed industrial bones of the building become a design feature, not an afterthought. The Juliette balcony is a unique touch.
213 O'Connell — The Flexible Ground Floor
Downstairs, we designed a space built for versatility, finished to work beautifully as either a residential unit or a commercial space. The open layout, clean finishes, and street-level access make it an ideal fit for a range of uses. It's the kind of flexible space that Watertown's evolving downtown scene is ready for.
Already Rented — And That Says Everything
We're pleased to share that both units were rented before the paint was even dry. That kind of demand speaks to what Watertown's community is looking for: quality spaces in a city they already love, brought to life by people who are invested in its future.
Part of Something Bigger
The O'Connell Street building is just one chapter in an ongoing renovation story. At Deerfield Properties, we believe that the best spaces are ones that carry history forward, preserving the character of a structure while giving it new purpose for the people who live and work here today.
We're continuing our work on the warehouse. If you want to be among the first to hear about new spaces as they come available, reach out to us or follow along on our blog.
